Hockey Jersey Sizing

Custom jerseys are made specially just for you, so it's important to get sizing right the first time. When in doubt, it's always best to err on the side of too big rather than too small.

We do have 2 different sizing charts for each brand we carry, although measurements between the two brands are close enough that you'd generally be wearing the same size in each.

Be sure to send a link to this page to the entire squad prior to ordering!

  • Step 1: Select Your Jersey Style

    1. Sublimated jerseys: see JME Sublimated Jerseys
    2. Basic jerseys and pro twill jerseys: see Kobe Hockey Jerseys

  • Step 2: Find an Old Hockey Jersey

Our sizing charts are based on garment measurements, not body measurements.

Find a hockey jersey that fit you well to help identify the closest size.

  • How To Measure Hockey Jersey

Step 3: Compare vs. Our Measurements

Lay your jersey flat on the ground. Measure the chest and length from the same points as our diagram to find the closest size match.

  • Step 4: Read Our Guidelines

We've sprinkled some extra notes to give you an idea as to what we "usually" see customers order.

That said, keep in mind that everyone's body is different and everyone has different preferences as to what a proper "fit" looks like!

Player/Skater Jersey Sizing

Hockey jersey sizing guidelines:

  • L and XL are the two most common sizes for male, adult players
  • Generally, players will wear the same size JME sublimated jersey as they will Kobe jersey
  • Athletic Knit sizing is available upon request. AK fits a touch smaller, but generally, customers will wear the same size AK jersey as they will in our other brands.
  • Kobe does not provide us sleeve length measurements, but they're typically 2" shorter on adult jerseys and 1" shorter on youth jerseys compared to the JME sublimated jerseys
  • Youth XS and Adult 4XL ARE available with our JME Sublimated Jerseys, but are NOT available with Kobe jerseys
  • Take into account if you'll be wearing shoulder pads when wearing your jersey. Typically, shoulder pads will add roughly one extra size vs. not wearing shoulder pads

Goalie Jersey Sizing

Goalie jersey sizing guidelines

General Goalie Cut Sizing Information:
• Goalie cut jerseys have shorter, wider sleeves than player cut jerseys to accommodate larger goalie equipment

JME Sublimated Jersey Goalie Cuts:
• Sizing "labels" are based on the body size of the jersey in relation to a player jersey. For example, a "4XL" goalie cut has the same body size as a player cut "4XL", but with goalie cut sleeves. A 4XL goalie cut is NOT meant to fit someone who wears a 4XL t-shirt.
• Generally, goalies will wear a size 3-4 sizes higher than what would fit them in a player cut (e.g. a L or XL player would usually wear a 4XL goalie cut)
• 4XL goalie cut fits most adult male goalies. Our sizing chart provides some guidelines on the age category that typically fits goalies, but the most reliable way is always to measure a garment that fits well

Kobe Goalie Cut Sizing:
• Kobe's jerseys utilizing the K3G fabric (premium products, K3G Pro and K3GL) have 4 goalie cut sizes: youth, intermediate, adult 2XL, and adult 4XL
• Kobe's jerseys utilizing the midweight fabric (all other jerseys) have 3 goalie cut sizes: youth, intermediate, and adult 4XL

  • JME Sublimated Goalie Cut Hockey Jersey Sizing

Refer to this chart if purchasing sublimated jerseys.

  • Kobe Goalie Cut Hockey Jersey Sizing

Refer to this chart if purchasing screen printed or pro twill jerseys using a Kobe Sportswear jersey as the base/blank jersey.
